  1. Why did it take an offer from another company before your company recognized your value?
  2. From where is the money for the counteroffer coming? (Form of a future raise, bonus or promissory agreement)
  3. You have now made your employer aware that you are unhappy. From this day on, will your loyalty always be in question?
  4. Will your company start looking for your replacement at a lower salary price?
  5. Will the same circumstances that now cause you to consider a change repeat themselves in the future, even if you accept a counteroffer?
  6. Do you know that statistics show that if you accept a counteroffer, the probability of voluntarily leaving within six months or being let go within one year is extremely high?
